Meet your Coach: Kim Jennings, MA, CPC

Kim is a Certified Professional Coach with a Master’s in Education from Teachers’ College, Columbia University. With over 15 years of experience coaching, as well as designing and facilitating programs in education, nonprofit and social impact settings, Kim is passionate about the connection between individual and collective wellbeing.

Throughout her academic and professional career, she has focused on the intersection of psychology, education and social justice. As part of the leadership team of a charter school, for instance, she helped guide a major school transformation project, shifting to a more asset based approach to youth development, and integrating aspects of social emotional learning across the school. In addition to schools, she has worked with organizations addressing issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, reproductive health, human trafficking, and bereavement support, always with a particular focus on equity and wellbeing.

For organizations, she coaches and facilitates initiatives that cultivate compassionate, equitable and healing-centered culture. Together they (1) Build foundational knowledge about how chronic stress and trauma can impact brain, body and behavior; (2) Identify internal and external resources for individual and collective prevention and healing; (3) Develop clear actionable strategies for systems change that cultivate equity and wellbeing.

For individuals, she provides coaching and support to help each person find healthy and sustainable ways to do meaningful work, professionally and personally — maintaining balance and wellbeing and avoiding burnout.
